Sports Direct to open at Bow Street Mall in Lisburn

Frasers Group plc has signed a lease to open an elevated Sports Direct store in the former H&M unit at Bow Street Mall in Lisburn, Northern Ireland The UK's largest sporting goods retailer will occupy a space extending to 15,200 sq. ft. and trade one of its latest formats to provide an extensive range of sporting and fashion apparel under its Sports Direct and USC brands.

The letting to Sports Direct was brokered by Paul Wilson, Director of Retail at Savills, who commented: “This is a huge positive for Lisburn and Bow Street Mall and provides a fantastic new retail addition to the shopping centre line up. Sports Direct are investing heavily in the store to provide a fresh new and exciting retail environment, similar to that of the company’s latest store to open in Ballymena. This investment is a going to greatly aid Bow Street Mall’s appeal joining other keys retailers including Primark, Dunnes Stores and Peacocks.”

With over 60 shops, restaurants and cafes, Bow Street Mall is one of Northern Ireland's largest and most successful shopping destinations. Over 3.5 million shoppers visit the centre each year, driven by its impressive line-up of retailers, such as, Primark, Dunnes Stores, JD Sports and New Look. Bow Street Mall is situated just 8 miles south west of Belfast and has an immediate catchment population of over 75,000. A recent survey found that the average shopper visits the centre 75 times per year, with an average dwell time of 65 minutes.

A spokeswoman for Sports Direct said: “This is a major part of Sport Direct’s brand elevation strategy that will see a huge investment in a number of new stores, while upgrading and improving existing ones across the UK & Ireland. This is the strategic vision of the business as it aims to meet the demands of an ever more sophisticated consumer who is increasingly looking for not only good value, but an enhanced shopping experience.”

Bow Street Mall Welcome Card Factory To Their Retail Line Up

Bow Street Mall were delighted to welcome Card Factory to their retail line up in the heart of Lisburn in February 2019. The 2,000 sq ft unit is located right in the centre of the Mall, beside Peter Mark Hair Dressing Salon, and is the latest in Card Factory’s some 35 plus stores in Norther Ireland to open.

Herowe'en has landed at Bow Street Mall. Join us on Saturday 28th October, from 12pm - 4pm, for an afternoon of superhero themed fun.

A Trolley load of fun at all-new Colour Dash 5K

Bow Street Mall sponsors 'Purple' colour station at Children's Hospice fun-run.

Bow Street Mall are set to have a trolley load of fun this summer, as they join forces with Northern Ireland Children's Hospice at the all-new Colour Dash 5K.


The Lisburn based shopping centre is sponsoring the 'purple' colour station at the fun-run, which takes place on Sunday 21 August at the Eikon Exhibition Centre, Lisburn.

The Colour Dash 5K is the first of its kind to be organised by the charity, and will raise funds to support life-limited children and their families.

Fun runners, serious runners, walkers – everyone, in fact – are invited to take part in the spectacular event, which sees runners showered with a rainbow of coloured paint along an exciting and fun-filled 5K route.

Participants will be able to enjoy a splash of purple paint and refreshments as they move past Bow Street Mall's colour station.

Darren Crozier, Events Fundraiser at Northern Ireland Children's Hospice said: "We are absolutely delighted that Bow Street Mall are sponsoring the purple colour station at our first ever Colour Dash 5K in just over two weeks.

"The event is taking place at the exciting Eikon Exhibition Centre, which is perfect for a traffic-free route, lined with colour stations, refreshments and entertainment throughout."

"These stations will really create an exciting atmosphere and add to the fun of the event, so we really appreciate the support of a local organisation like Bow Street Mall."

The fun-run starts at 10.30am with a pre-event party including face painting, live music and dance, before colour dashers set off at 11.30am.

Participants will receive a registration pack which includes an official race t-shirt, powder paint, and other Colour Dash goodies. All participants will also receive a finisher's medal after the Colour Dash 5K.

There's EGGcitement in the air at Bow Street Mall this Easter!

Join in the fun at our Easter Carnival with candy cart treats and lots of FREE family fun on Saturday 26th, Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th of March.

On Saturday 26th March, 12pm - 4pm, we'll be hosting an on mall Easter Egg Hunt and all your favourite carnival games with an Easter twist. Work on your aim and WIN a prize with our 'Hook an Easter Duck', 'Easter Egg Coconut Shy' and 'Easter Ring Toss'!

Our carnival games will be back on Monday 28th March, 12pm - 4pm, along with our walkabout Carnival Ringmaster and face painters who will transform you into any character you choose. Also on mall will be our craft making workshops where you can watch your little ones bring out their creative side as they learn to make some Easter masks.

On our final day of carnival fun, Tuesday 29th March 12pm - 4pm, our roaming magician will entertain and astound, as you take a final punt on our carnival games.

Bow Street Mall Shopping Centre in Lisburn has become the latest Shopping Centre in Northern Ireland to gain national recognition for its commitment to customer service, after being awarded WorldHost Recognised Business status.

World Host is a world-class customer service training programme that has already been used to train nearly one million people worldwide, including front-line staff in retail, hospitality, tourism and passenger transport for sporting and cultural events across the UK.

WorldHost Recognised Business status is awarded to businesses that have trained 50% or more of their front line staff using any of the WorldHost training programmes and signed a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. With over 80% of its staff trained to WorldHost standards, Bow Street Mall has officially become a WorldHost Recognised Business.

On receiving the recognition, Karen Marshall, Centre Manager, Bow Street Mall commented:
"We are passionate about service standards and are incredibly proud to have achieved WorldHost Recognised Business status.
